Here is a list of people that we’re keeping as party contacts from Whistler or people that we’ve met on this adventure down here:

  • Adam Woods AKA BOY: The boy is a rare specimen whose natural habitat is an island in the middle of Alpha Lake (in Whistler). Currently attending UBC, this animal is our key to the campus. With a diet mainly of bacon, boy is the stick in the mud when it comes to vegetarian breakfasts.
  • Melanie Komori: Melanie, the token Asian on our travels, is Paige’s roommate/classmate. She is often the victim of racist jokes (made with love), usually because of her low tolerance for alcohol. A frequent attender of our outings, it’s incredible she can’t drink more. Melanie is also a vegetarian and attending Langara Collage.
  • Kevin Thornton: My god he’s trendy. Kevin’s another Whistler kid, migrated to Vancouver. He’s schooling at Cap Collage, which is a trek compared to where the rest of us live. Because of the distance (and a long distance relationship) Kevin isn’t always there for the adventures, but when he is….FUN X 10!!!
  • Marley Smith: Recently had his head shaved by our friend Nina. Making a amazing transformation into a “balla” who we still enjoy spending time with oddly enough.
  • Nina Duval: Our in group hairdresser. Doesn’t join us very often anymore because of her heavy school schedule but she’s still a laugh and a half. And also a giraffe.
  • Seb Zeidler: WE MISS YOU!!!!! Seb a key member of the original Whistler crew. For one reason or another he became a…..farmer? Which suits him, he needs an energy release, but we barely see him anymore. Luckily he misses us to and is always up for an adventure.
  • Bernie Mitchell: You didn’t hear it from me but his name is actually Bernard Gabriel Dupriez – Mitchell. Bernie goes to school at UVIC on the island. He also has a massive ego we have secretly named Gigantuan and refer to as a separate person. As a full time shenaniganer, Bernie brings fun with him as well as trouble, but those usually go hand in hand anyway. We love him though. Him and Gigantuan.
  • Matt Baily: An inspiration to us all. The “lone wanderer” always starts the night with us and ends up venturing off by himself and coming back with way cooler stories. One day we’re going to tape a camera to his chest and see what REALLY happens.
  • Patrick Sills: Patrick and Paige were raised together when their parents decided take turns playing mom. It wasn’t until kindergarden that they spent any time apart. Patrick was known (until recently) for his woman hating ways. You can always trust him to be the most intoxicated and then run off into the woods and spend the night sleeping in a muddy swamp. The best part is, as often as this happens (and it is often) he’ll always do it again.
  • Jenelle Shoucair: This Jewish girl is nothing but expensive. With a pint-sized body, she can only handle so much. Hailing from White Rock, yo, Melanie picked this gem up on the fanciest street corner.

  • Andrew Tomchyshyn: Well this is interesting, an American whose nickname back home was “Canadian.” Hmmmmm. This non-Canadian attends UBC with Adam. We’ve never quite figured out what he’s going to school there for but he should stop, and then go to school for photography. He should also learn to get up off his ass and leave campus occasionally.
  • Shane Oosterhoff: The blue to our yellow and red!!!!!! Shane is a photo kid with Melanie and Paige. He is a frequent adventurer and an avid watcher of such TV shows as “Americans Next Top Model,” “So You Think You Can Dance,” and “Project Runway.” Monday study sessions just wouldn’t be the same without him.
  • Jamie Mann: Mann oh mann. He’s a first year.
  • Kyler Vos: Kyler….um what? This homemade name is neither Kyle nor Tyler….no one knows. Kyler’s a photo kid, a beer drinker and a snowboarder, although he has yet to mountain with us. Until he actually gets his act together and comes up the mountain, he’s nothing but alot of talk.
  • Emily Pledge: Emily and her sister are the same person. They look the same, talk the same, act the same……Yikes. At least they’re both awesome which, makes for twice the awesomeness.
  • Andrew Mattock: So Patrick met Andrew at camp when they were 12, Some how Paige met Andrew and now she hangs out with him more than Patrick does. Andrew is our Vancouver local, tour guide and often saviour.
  • Evan Cronshaw: Brews beer. He also drinks it as fast as he can brew it. Paige and Patrick know him from back in the good old days of Pinecrest/Blacktust adventures. He’s a Northvan kid so he can’t always make it, but when he does you know you’re not going to remember most of the night.
  • Sam Jones: Is Kevin’s girlfriend. She’s also our favorite girlfriend. Highfive!!!
